After Emmi, a precocious young environmentalist and the customizable main character, rescues a tiny Chick from a poultry processing plant - a chain reaction of adventure and fun gets set off!

Emmi hides the chicken at home and dreams of being friends with Chick forever, but those dreams get put in jeopardy when Emmi learns that her barbecue-obsessed father plans to make a meal out of Chick!

Emmi must now use all her wits to save her new friend. When the dust settles, not only has Emmi’s Dad announced he’s vegan, but Emmi discovers that Chick CAN TALK!!!!
